The pace of modern society does not help our quest to understand true fellowship. Many people live such fast-paced lives of work, family activity and school that connecting at any meaningful level with each other is a challenge.
Maybe with our fast-paced lives we don’t see the value and necessity of fellowship. We participate in programs that replace the body life that is described in God’s Word. We don’t see the need to be with others who are likeminded. We don’t even know that God created us for fellowship. We don’t realize that others may need us and that the revelation of the fullness of God can only be experienced through fellowship in the Body of Christ.
Can our modern world give way to true fellowship?
In this study, we will look deeply into the biblical meaning of fellowship. We will explore the necessity and power of fellowship in the life of the believer in Jesus Christ and what is required to experience intimate fellowship in the Spirit with the Father and His children.
A Life in Common is based on 1 John 1:3.
“...that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” — I JOHN 1:3 ESV
